The apartment was perfectly utilized. We felt at home immediately. Perfect location, close to the city center with all the restaurants and shops. Nice view of the park across the street. Everything well organized and communication good when needed.Thanks again Alexei!

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. There is no front desk, no service at all, without even being mentioned on the booking website. It is a student hostel charging 400 EURs per night.The service is terrible, they only told me the room number but I don’t even know which floor it is located so I have to walk up and down 5 stairs to figure out.The bed is super small and uncomfortable, the heater at night does not work well and I was waken by cold.Overall terrible experience, do not recommend anyone to stay.

Lavinia, Unity and Diana.|We had a wonderful time at Alexei’s penthouse. The interior design complements the stunning views which we spent ages admiring both in the sun and in the rain. We were delighted to arrive to find an immaculately clean, beautifully furnished penthouse. A fine attention to detail by our host ensured that we had everything that we needed for a relaxing stay in Rovaniemi. |The penthouse has an excellent location. Close to the centre and within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. Also, close to the pickup points for the Lapland tours that we had booked. Santa is only a few kilometres away!

We booked this penthouse to have a nice weekend and enjoy beautiful view from the balcony. We carefully selected a very nice stay among all possible stays in Swedish Lapland and Finnish Lapland region reading all reviews and making a long research for a high-quality leisure stay.|Instead we were forced to listen to around 9 hours of very loud unbearable rock through the whole evening. From 15:30-01 :00 |90DB noise for 9 hours (harmful for health)||90 decibels is a high noise level, equivalent to the noise generated by a leaf blower or the sound level of a concert. Compared to 80 dB, 90 dB is 10 times more intense and twice as loud. Whenever you are exposed to this noise level, you should wear hearing protection.||One could hear music even in the sauna.|After two hours of nonstop noise and starting headache I contacted the host about full refund I got an answer that there is a festival just outside the building. Here is what I got as a reply: ”Is the music coming from outside? There is Santa open air music festival in the park by the riverside going thru the weekend.”|| Since host did not solve the problem I had to call to San Francisco USA airbnb support to solve the problem.|||Next reply from host was not apology and problem solving too. It was: ”This is a public outdoor event which have been promoted by the city of Rovaniemi. So it’s a well-known event, which attracts a lot of attention and visitors. We don’t ask our guests why they come to Rovaniemi. I can assume that many of our other guests come specifically because of this festival.”||”You cannot expect us to repost information about all public events in Rovaniemi.”||I would not have booked this stay if I would have known that there is a very loud music in the whole apartment all night long non-stop. I do not know if anyone would.||Since the attitude towards guest is so ignoring - I do not recommend this host.||After getting in touch with Airbnb support I had a message from the host where the host offered second night instead of 82% refund (we would simply go home from that airbnb, the apartment was untouched yet). I accepted the night just to stop stressing.||After listening to many hours of loud terrible noise I had a bad head-ache and a bad sleep. I would love to go home and regret making a booking.||*it took us 1 hour to find parking outside before we checked-in. We parked on the river shore.||Cleanlyness big minus: around toilet all walls in urine, dust on window floors and corners (non-professional cleaning)|Hospitality non-professional. Host is interested in getting money, not in providing a nice and responsible service.

We were 4 friends visiting Rovaniemi and had a wonderful time! Nordica Design Residence was wonderful - it was comfortable, clean, conveniently located, the hosts were thoughtful and we wish we stayed longer! The sauna was so nice after a cold day of adventures! I would 100% recommend this apartment.

I booked an apartment at Nórdica Design Residence at the last minute luckily.||Overall the apartment was clean and neat, comfy beds and cozy blankets. ||The heated floors were a huge plus! Easy to find and centrally located. ||I loved my stay even if it was for one night. Alexei was super nice and kind. He answered all my questions and provided further guidance. ||I would highly recommend this place for anyone who’s looking to stay in Rovaniemi. ||I wish I could have stayed longer!

This apartment is simply superb. Recently built, clean and modern. A very contemporary, well appointed open plan kitchen/living room with north facing windows and balcony, perfect for seeing the Northern Lights, if they are not clouded over. Unfortunately the clouds prevented us from seeing them on our trip. Bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathroom with walk-in shower plus a sauna was great. Hair dryer, iron and ironing table available too. ||Rovaniemi is a small city so it’s easy to walk around. Many coffee shops, restaurants and bars are easily reachable. |The worst thing about this trip (apart from having to go home) was avoiding dog mess on the pavemeents.

My two teenage daughters and I rented an apartment for a week at Christmas to have more space that we loved. It was centrally located. Could walk everywhere in 5 mns. No need for a car at all. ||The penthouse apt was on the top 8th floor with a lift, with nice views from both bedrooms and living room with a terrace. The owner Alexei was super great. Organised and very helpful. He answered all of my many questions prior to the trip and even during the trip changing a few things. It was very clean, modern with a very cute kitchen, a nice family sofa with a big TV with all kinds of films... The apt had a lovely Christmas tree/feel which was definitely a plus. It was very cosy with everything one could need. We will be back! Thank you so much, Alexei. We loved it.
