Santa's Igloos Arctic Circle - Rovaniemi

Staying in the Santa’s Igloos Arctic Circle was a definitely a bucket list for us. Our igloo was comfortable, cozy and modern. Heated floors, and glass windows were just perfect for chasing the Auroras. ||Attention to little details were nice! We had an Aurora alert in our room and can send a message the staff through a tablet in our room. Our Igloo had a private outdoor jacuzzi and such a wonderful experience in the snow covered areas with forest view. ||The location was great, only short walking distance from the magical Santa Claus Village! |Very nice and plentiful breakfast served in the main restaurant. Dinner menu including a great choice of Finnish dishes including Elk, Arctic Char and Scampi, all dishes had a nice presentation and were tasty. We had breakfast and 3 course delicious dinner from every day changing menu. ||There are a lot of activities to do and kids friendly if you’re traveling with the family. Hotel staff is very friendly and they can arrange all the activities for you! ||Hope to be back next year 🙂

My dad and I had an amazing stay here for a week in January. Very cold, -24, deep snow. Igloo is amazing, warm, good facilities. Staff fantastic. Restaurant lovely. Short walk to Santas village. 5 mins from airport. Will definitely go back.

We stayed at the igloo for 3 days and 2 nights and what a great experience.
The igloo is very cozy and clean. The bad side is the fact that is too close to the neighbor so you have to keep your curtains close for privacy. Service provided was good and the reception and restaurant staff very friendly and helpful.
We had breakfast and main course dinner included and the food is delicious. The aurora alerts are amazing as well, we were lucky enough to be awakened by it and we could see the aurora right from the ceiling and outside of our room. There are lots of things to do around it and the place is kids friendly. We recommend and we’d come back.

The aurora alerts are amazing, we were lucky enough to be awake by them and we could see the beauty right outside of our igloo. Staff is very friendly and helpful as well. Lots of things to do and very kids friendly place if you’re traveling with the family. We’d definitely come back.

Arrived early. Bags stored for us whilst we walked to Santa Claus Village which is only 5 minute walk away. |Checked in at 2pm. Luggage brought to our room in a golf style buggy (we hopped in as well).|Igloo fantastic. We had a front line Igloo so unobstructed view. Sauna was great. Everything was clean and well appointed. |Evening main meal included in our package. Elk fillet was the best meal of our entire stay. |Breakfast was also very good. |Restaurant nice for breakfast but no different for dinner so didn't feel as special as it could. |Luggage collected on the morning of our departure.|We didn't see the northern lights as it was cloudy. |I would definitely recommend. Yes it's expensive but it's an experience.

We came to the restaurant to eat. From the outside decor to the inside lobby area, it gives a warm and inviting vibe. The restaurant opens at 17:00 and from what I gather, if you stay at the resort, your main dish is free but all other items must be purchased. As non staying guests, we obviously paid the entire bill. We chose mocktails for drinks: blueberry lime and blackberry with ginger. Both were lovely. (More info given in the food section). The price was for a posh resort and the pretty display of the food. The servers were friendly and helpful and explained what it was you were eating (a refresher).

I will say that if you are seated by a window and it is dusty, ask them to wipe it down. We didn't, and it was a little unappealing to view while eating. For us, it was an experience we enjoyed but would not do again.

The igloos are perfect, so cosy and cute and comfortable yet very modern and everything worked perfectly. The glass heating, the aurora alert, the heated floors. It was just spectacular, especially seeing the auroras while staying cosy in bed! What an experience. The food was great both breakfast and dinner.

What a great hotel! |It's only a short taxi ride from the airport or train station and not that far from Rovaniemi town should you wish to go there. |It's also a pretty 10 minute walk to the Santa Claus village.|Very comfortable igloos in a beautiful location - nice and warm with everything you need. Good wi-fi too. The private sauna is a bonus. The heated glass roof of the igloo is a great idea , one push of a button melts the snow so you can look up at the stars from your bed, The in room tablet that is provided for hotel information, or to contact reception, also has an alarm that can be set to notify you if the Northern Lights are active. Luckily they were! |Very good breakfast and dinner. A good choice of Finnish dishes including Elk, Arctic Char and Veal - all nicely presented and tasty.|But what made the stay even more memorable was the team of very friendly, helpful and professional staff. A big shout out especially to the lovely Maria and Hugo - both so kind and polite, and always smiling. You both couldn't do enough to make the 2 night stay more magical than was hoped for - thank you.|If you are in Lapland make sure you stay at Santa's Igloos Arctic Circle - you will certainly have a wonderful time.
