Arrived in the evening, and was at first a bit disappointed to get a room in the oldest part, with a view against the street, but HEY, the room was very good. I arrived to late to get a dinner in the restaurant, but since the hotel is "downtown" it was only a few meters to an open restaurant. I particular liked the location by the river, and that it was only a few meters away from the starting point of the VoiceMap digital walking tour, that guides you through the city and its history - really nice! |Friendly emplyees and a nice atmosphere - I will return nest time! 🙂

I go to Rovaniemi every year for work. First time in this hotel. I got a room in the annex. Apparently refurbished but a long way from reception, including an 80m long poorly lit tunnel. Room was spartan with no desk which was frustrating. No business centre and nowhere to work. I'd specifically asked for a quiet room but got the one by the lifts, probably the noisiest. I knew I'd arrive too late for dinner so tried to order a sandwich to be available when I arrived. That wasn't possible and I was told to buy one from the hotel shop on arrival. They'd run out when I arrived. So I ate at the Amarillo across the street. Probably OK if you're a tourist staying for 2 nights but not if you're travelling for work.

Lovely hotel. Not as fancy as some.of the others but really liked it. Lovely reception staff.|Clean. Great location. Good, big, buffet brealkfast.|It is short walk to the centre of town. We were lucky enough to be on the fourth floor with river views - amazing. Busy place- lots of coming and going with guests booking in and out alongside tour groups being collected and dropped off. But didn't seem to be a problem.|

I have stayed at Scandic properties before and have always been pleased with my visits. This particular stay was very disappointing. The hotel is old, outdated and dirty. The furnishings were from the 1970 and worn out, new paint is needed and mold was throughout the tiny bathroom. Elevators bad and dirty. The only decent thing was the breakfasts that were provided. The price was extremely high and not worth the money spent. The entire property needs to be renovated. It is near Santa Claus land so pricing in the area is a bit higher, but the pricing was so unreasonable that I feel ripped off. I will never stay at this hotel again.

The hotel needs quick total repair. The rooms are wornout. Not proper air conditioning. Broken furnitures. Actually in finland first time i checked the bed. Receptiin staff was very pollite. The second star cones from that. The room was directly from the 70’s. Pls select another hotel. Not in scandic level at all.

Hotel is located on the banks of the Kemijoki River and very close to Lumberjack's Candle Bridge, as well as a short walk (4 minutes) from the center of Rovaniemi. I stayed in an apartment overlooking the street (unfortunately not the river), comfortable, but a little aged and without a safe. Friendly staff at the restaurant, where I recommend ordering the delicious smoked reindeer salad, in addition to the main dish (enough for two people). Breakfast not very varied.

the hotel was perfectly nice. family room was spacious with bunk beds for the kids. HOWEVER, the restaurant was ridiculously bad. we paid €35 each for the worst buffet i have ever experienced, to the point of being comedy. i honestly thought the staff were giggling from behind the scenes watching us eat and then pay. it was so bad. breakfast was almostas bad.
